D51 Online

Middle School Counseling

Hello! My name is Victoria Vigil and I am the school counselor supporting 6th and 7th grade students participating in the D51 Online Program. This is my 6th year as a middle school counselor and my 10th year as a school counselor. Joining the online program is a new adventure and I look forward to developing a school counseling program to serve the needs of students and families during this challenging time.

...and I’m Judi Weber, hello! I am the 8th grade middle school counselor for the D51 Online Program. I have been a school counselor for a long time, mostly at the Fruita 8/9 School since it’s opening 14 years ago. I love being part of the online program - because learning new and exciting things is what this year is all about. I also understand that things are complicated for so many of us right now, and I am here to offer my support.

The goal of the school counseling program is to help ALL students develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to achieve academic success, career and college readiness, and personal/social growth. The counseling program offers a variety of services for students, parents, and families. These services include:

  • Classroom Guidance Lessons

  • Short-term Individual Counseling

  • Short-term Group Counseling

  • Crisis Intervention

  • Community Referrals and Resources

  • Consultation

A student may be referred for school counseling by staff, parents, or self. If you would like to refer a student, please visit the Request for School Counseling Services tab.
